Deanie Humphrys-Dunne is an award-winning children’s author. She spent her childhood in Easton CT. Her first book, Tails of Sweetbrier, an autobiography, won the silver medal in the Feathered Quill Book Awards, and was a finalist in the Clippa Awards. Her fictional books: Charlie the Horse, Charlene the Star, Charlene the Star and Hattie’s Heroes, and Charlene the Star and Bentley Bulldog, are amusing stories told from the animals’ points of view. They all convey important life lessons for children. Her sister, Holly Humphrys-Bajaj, beautifully illustrates all of Deanie’s books. Holly also designs the covers for them.

Deanie has been featured on several radio shows, including http://www.theauthorsshow.com. She has also been interviewed on various other radio shows. She has also received numerous blogging award nominations. Tails of Sweetbrier won honorable mention in the Purple Dragonfly contest.

Deanie loves watching equestrian events and figure skating competitions, as well as spending time with her family and their dog, Elliott. Elliott is featured in 3 of Deanie’s books!
